Photo Types

1. Image Based- An image based cover is normally seen on a cover where it wants to show a person or thing that represents what that issue of the article is about. Usually if you were to see with a celebrity or person doing a job/sport that would tip you to what the article is about.

2. Illustration Based- This type of cover is used to either intrigue the reader or show something through a drawing instead of boring someone with words. There are also lots of similar symbols that are familiar to people that will make them want to pick up an article.

3. Type Based- Usually when you see a typed base article it's telling your about a few things or one thing about a certain subject. These are usually informative covers and on the inside the articles would be most to inform you. Some covers will use big words that mean the most so someone will take a look at it if that word is something they appeal to.

4. Concept Based Is a very unfamiliar cover you will see on a magazine. It's a concept that mixes all there of the other cover bases together that looks very unique and can make a quite interesting looking cover. Lots of business magazines and informative magazines is where you will see this cover.

Inspiring magazine covers

This magazine cover is very simple and there's not a lot shown, but there may be a deeper meaning to the cover. As the bottom of it starts very dark it tends to get lighter the more the cover goes up. The main subject the human in the water is by himself with a bike and no clothes. This could be a sign of being weak, lost or poor. He is headed towards the light which you can see land in the distance and away from the deep dark ocean. It also isn't the clearest photo either which makes it more mysterious even though the photo itself is so simple.

4. Intellectually stimulating, interesting (that’s to promise benefits)
5. Efficient, fast, easy to scan (that’s showing off the service)
6. Worth the investment of money and time (that’s the “What’s in it for me?”)
2. The cover size you see on the screen isn't the real size so don't judge and change it.
