During 2010-2011 school year a High School had 18 the following year in march the number is already 22. The number is only rising and school isn't even over yet. After these results the school had to do something to decrease the number of fights.
The school district had no other options, but to hire the Teen Conflict Resolution Team. After this, a rule changed that if any kid who was in a fight would have to complete a non-violent workshop ,“Students have to learn how to solve life’s problems
without violence, and this program will teach our students
just that,” said Mr. Brown a teacher at that high school.
Following those changes the rules a of violence will still be enforced even though you have to attend a workshop as well. Andy Opal a student at the high school disagrees and thinks that getting suspended and having to go to a workshop is “ Just too much.”
